He began his medical journey at the University of Cape Town, where he earned his MBChB in 2008. Dr. Camroodien's dedication to women's health led him to complete his registrar training at Groote Schuur Hospital, where he received multiple awards, including the prestigious Golden Telescope Award for his laparoscopic surgery skills, Golden Speculum award awarded in 2022 for the best gynaecological research presentation as well as achieving 3rd prize in a national research symposium in 2023 .
Throughout his career, Dr. Camroodien has been recognized for his commitment to excellence. He has held key positions in various hospitals, including the role of Head of Emergency Units at Melomed Hospitals, where he played a pivotal role in opening the emergency unit at Melomed Tokai. His extensive experience in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology, coupled with his ongoing fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology, enables him to provide comprehensive care to his patients.
